Maximizing
your Holiday
Potential |
|
While the holidays
can be wonderful, they can also be stressful. Parties,
shopping and the changes in our every-day routines are just a
few things that can tip the stress scale. Below are a few
techniques to maximize your holiday potential:
1.
Network EVERYWHERE - As small business owners, we are
always networking. Be open to opportunities to share about
your business services and be creative in your approach.
Remember, it's your uniqueness that sells more than the
product/service itself. For example, say you own a day spa and
are shopping at Macy's. The line is really long and people are
getting cranky. What better time to offer a holiday special to
the people in line and give out your card with a special
discount?
2. Take care of YOU - While it is the
season for giving, remember to give to yourself. Take time to
get back into balance if you need to. Take time to nurture
your mind, body and spirit. Our ability to give to others is
reflective of our ability to give to ourselves.
3.
Keep it SIMPLE - A challenge for many, including myself
during this time of the year. How do we keep it simple? Here
are a few suggestions: a. Know and respect your
limits. b. Prioritize your events. c. Say "no thank you
" when you need to.
4. Give THANKS - Take time
to remember the people who inspired you or believed in you
this year. Who helped you grow? Helped your business grow?
Took a chance with you and your business?
Thank you
all for being a part of my entrepreneurial journey. I wish you
and your families a happy and prosperous New
Year! |

What Others Are
Saying About This Book:
"No matter how
successful you were in corporate
America
, you know nothing about becoming an
entrepreneur. I know because I was the President/CEO of four
companies before I became an entrepreneur. I could have used
this book."
Sigmund
Goodwin Vice-President The Radcliff
Company
"How I wished
that I had had this precious and practical tool to help me in
my escape from Corporate America! After 15 years in "Fortune
50" Corporations I was convinced that the "crossing" was not
possible. Practical advice such as "what to do until the money
flows" would have greatly eased the transition for me.
Negative corporate management's reinforcement about the "big
bad world" and not realizing that it didn't have to be an all
or nothing transition delayed my ultimately successful escape
by years. This book will be an entrepreneurial
bible."
